  The Tithe Barn

The Tudor Room Dating to 1390, and older than the house itself, the Tithe Barn began life storing the produce that a parish paid by way of a tax (hence the name ‘tithe’, meaning tenth part) to support their church or parish priest. The barn was transferred from its original Surrey site to Great Fosters in 1930.
