Historic Hotel Rooms

This collection of rooms has been individually decorated to add to the elegance of the hotel. Whether it’s ornate Italian furniture, sixteenth century tapestries or a luxurious four-poster bed, these spacious rooms and suites complement the grandeur of the house. Bedrooms vary in size from 50 - 70m².

The Tapestry

The Tapestry

This distinguished yet welcoming room is famed for the early 17th century Flemish tapestries. The ceiling includes the Percy family crest and a carved stone mantelpiece, believed to date from 1600, depicts the story of Adam and Eve. In addition there is a masterful chimneypiece and an elegant overmantel, displaying carvings of Ratio, Veritas and Victoria. Originally the drawing room of the house, the Tapestry is the largest room in the hotel, stretching across the whole width of the house.  It enjoys views across the gardens.  It is approximately 72m² with a large bathroom that features a free standing roll top bath and separate double shower.


The Italian

The Italian

The Italian Room on the first floor of the Main House and overlooks the front of the hotel. It is rich with gilt Italianate furniture and damask-draped walls and features quattrocento doors adorned with delicate plasterwork and painted panels. It is approximately 49m²


The Queen Anne Suite

Queen Anne Suite

The Queen Anne Suite is situated on the first floor of the hotel. The suite has high ceilings, a luxurious four poster bed and a separate sitting room. The bathroom features a Victorian roll top bath with traditional shower above. The Queen Anne is approximately 50m²


The Nursery

Nursery Suite

The Nursery suite is situated on the second floor of the hotel and spans the width of the house. It has views over both the front and the extensive gardens to the rear. The bedroom has a king size bed and a separate large sitting room with a comfortable seating area, dining table and workspace. The Nursery can accommodate two children sleeping in the sitting room on fold out beds. The Nursery is approximately 61m².

Panel II

Panel II is on the first floor of the hotel and features original wooden panelling, a beautiful four poster bed and antique furniture. Panel II is approximately 48m².
